PulseLyf vs MyFitnessPal

Last updated: 15 October 2026

MyFitnessPal and PulseLyf both help people track food and training, but they are built around different jobs. MyFitnessPal is best known as a calorie and nutrient tracker. PulseLyf is an AI fitness coach that builds a weekly training plan, answers questions in real time and adjusts the plan from your history. This page describes the general differences so you can choose. It does not rank one app over the other for everyone.

Main focus AI coaching: training plans, coach chat and workout logging, with meal and weight tracking alongside. Calorie and nutrient tracking, with a large food database and exercise logging.
Training plans Weekly plans built from your goals, equipment and schedule, then adjusted from your log. Logs exercise and calories burned. Not built around generating a strength training plan.
AI coach chat Chat with the AI coach about form, soreness or exercise swaps. The coach is opt-in. Not a core feature of the app.
Food logging Meal, weight and body measurement logging. If a very large food database is your priority, compare it directly before you choose. Large food database and barcode scanning are central to the app.
Exercise demos Animated demos for 129 exercises inside the workout logger. Not the focus of the app.
