Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

PulseLyf ("we," "our," "the app") is an AI fitness coaching app. This policy explains what information we collect, how it's used — including by the AI model that powers your coach — and the choices you have.

In plain language: we collect what you tell us about your fitness goals and what you log (workouts, meals, weight, optional progress photos), we send some of that to an AI provider to generate your plan and answer your questions, and we never sell your data. You can delete your account and your data at any time.

1. Information we collect

2. How the AI processes your data

This is the part that matters most, so we're saying it directly rather than burying it: to generate your weekly plan, coaching tips, and chat replies, PulseLyf sends the relevant information above (your stated goals, preferences, restrictions, and recent training/chat history) to Anthropic (Claude), a third-party AI provider, for processing. Anthropic processes this data to return a response to you and does not use it to train their models under our commercial agreement with them. We do not currently run our own AI models — if that changes, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect, and we'll tell you plainly which provider is doing the processing.

PulseLyf's AI coach is software, not a licensed medical or fitness professional. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace advice from a doctor, dietitian, or certified trainer. If a conversation suggests a safety concern (for example, signs of disordered eating or self-harm), the AI is designed to stop giving fitness/diet guidance and instead point you to real support resources (such as the NEDA Helpline or 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the US, or your local equivalent) — it will never pretend to be a human professional.

3. Automated safety monitoring

PulseLyf coaching is fully automated — no human reviews your plans or conversations, on the free tier or the paid tier. To keep that safe, the AI itself is designed to detect signs of a safety concern in a conversation (for example, disordered eating or self-harm language) and respond by stopping fitness/diet coaching and pointing you to real support resources, as described in Section 2. When that happens, we log that a safety concern was detected (category and severity, not a human-readable transcript review) so we can monitor and improve this behavior over time. This logging does not mean a person is reading your conversation in real time.

4. How we store and protect your data

5. Your rights

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data (including logged workouts, chat history, and photos) is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Website waitlist and visits

If you join the waitlist on pulselyf.app, we collect your email address, the date you signed up, and basic technical information sent by your browser (its user-agent string), which helps us spot spam signups. This is separate from the app: joining the waitlist does not create a PulseLyf account.

Website visit statistics. pulselyf.app uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are popular. It uses no cookies, doesn't track you across other sites, and only gives us totals, not who you are.

Questions from AI assistants. The site has a public endpoint that AI assistants can ask about PulseLyf. Questions sent to it are answered by our AI provider using only information already published on this website, and we don't store them.

We keep your waitlist email until you ask us to remove it or we stop sending launch updates, whichever comes first.

8. Children's privacy

PulseLyf is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change — especially anything affecting how health data is processed, such as moving AI processing to a different provider or our own infrastructure — we will update this page and note the date above.
